Acupuncture during Menopause in Kingsbridge, Chillington & Modbury
In Chinese Medicine, menopause is seen as a healing opportunity, rather than a pathology. A chance to reduce or heal symptoms and facilitate the transition into a healthy next chapter.
Can acupuncture help with menopause symptoms?
Every woman's experience of menopause will be different, with varying symptoms and severity. This is the beauty of holistic medicine like acupuncture: with no one-size-fits-all approach, each treatment is based on the individual and tailored to their needs.
The aim of treatment is always to help a woman navigate this life phase with more ease and comfort, which means working alongside Western Medicine and other healing modalities.
By regulating hormonal balance, promoting relaxation and improving the body's overall energy flow, acupuncture can help with the following symptoms often experienced during menopause and perimenopause:
Anxiety
Depression
Fatigue
Anger / frustration / mood swings
Brain fog
Hot flushes and/or night sweats
Headaches
Tinnitus
Palpitations
Insomnia
Weight gain
Changes to your menstrual cycle– e.g. flooding, irregular, shorter or longer cycles
Aches and pains
Vaginal dryness
Frequent UTIs or bladder issues
Loss of Libido
Musculoskeletal issues such as frozen shoulder
Early menopause / menopausal symptoms as a result of cancer drug treatment (e.g. letrozole, tamoxifen)
How much does Acupuncture treatment cost?
Your first treatment, which lasts 75 minutes, costs £70
Follow-up treatments last around 45 minutes and cost £55 each.
